Corporate Challenges

Classic Tours organises innovative corporate challenges in the UK and overseas.

These can be run as open challenges, allowing each employee to fundraise for their chosen cause, or corporately for the company charity of the year.

Benefits to the company include:
- PR opportunities
- team building
- increased company loyalty
- improved communication and interpersonal skills
- once in a lifetime experience for employees

In order to take part, employees raise sponsorship funds - a portion of the funds cover the cost of the challenge and the rest goes to charity.  Some companies match every pound of funds raised.  This halves the amount that employees need to raise to take part.

Choose from our vast array of existing itineraries or we can tailor-make one to suit your company. Examples of challenges organised for employers include:

Barclays Investment Services – North Downs - Team Building Weekend
A team building weekend in the North Downs of Kent, including an “It’s a Knockout” competition, murder mystery and treasure hunt on bikes.

“Many, many thanks for a wonderful weekend. The office is buzzing this morning so the team event really paid off and gave us all a boost”.

British Telecom – Dharamsala Trek for ChildLine UK
Employees embarked on the Dharamsala Trek, in the foothills of the Himalayas.  They chose to raise money for ChildLine which has links with ChildLine India where British Telecom has many call centres.

“It was an awesome experience. I don’t think anything can prepare you for the assault India has on your senses!”

McDonald’s - China Bike Ride for Ronald McDonald House Charities
Franchisees from this global fast food chain wanted to embark on a far flung challenge to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  A cycle ride from the Great Wall of China to Tiananmen Square fitted the bill.

Orange – UK Three Peaks Challenge for Sense
This leading mobile phone company wanted a UK challenge so Classic Tours suggested a 24 hour Three Peaks climb in the Yorkshire Dales.

“I signed up so that I could simultaneously give to a worthy charity and do something personally challenging and enjoyable at the same time”.

UnumProvident – Lands End from John O’Groats Jogging Relay for SeeAbility
This well known insurance company with offices throughout the UK wanted to involve employees from all areas.  Classic Tours devised  Le Jog, a relay to Lands End from John O’Groats which has become an annual event. It covers 1,000 miles and teams of 100 each run 10 miles raise £200 in sponsorship.

"The Le Jog relay just gets better every year. Having worked with Classic Tours for over five years they always deliver outstanding unforgettable events that benefit our charities, unify our staff and touch the hearts and minds of all involved".
